There is no such thing as a "simple cake". Supermarkets sell those. These are custom works of art which also feed your guests. Cakes are priced on the level of artwork and materials used. Even simple cakes take up to a week to create. In other words, please don't expect a miniature Prada handbag to feed two people to be a fiver!

A standard delivery and set-up charge of £50 is payable for local wedding cake orders within a 10 mile radius of Northwich. An exact quotation will be given for the location of your venue. Please note that delivery charges are non-refundable in any event. I strictly limit my weekly bookings. Dates won't be held by a telephone call - Please confirm orders by email. Pay by cash, cheques, internet banking or .... All wedding cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The date booking fee is included in this payment. This payment non-refundable in any circumstances. The date has been sold to you and no other work can be booked. Full balance is payable 3 calendar months before the event. Novelty cakes require full balance payment on confirmation of order. Wedding cakes booked up to order values of £295 (excl deliv) require full balance payment on confirmation of order. All orders exceeding this amount require an initial 50% deposit as previously stated.

I may amend prices or details stated on this website at any time. Any quotation given to the client will be fixed at the time of confirmed quotation and honoured as such. Minimum order value for wedding cakes is £200. Standard celebration cakes start at £60 and sculpted novelty cakes minimum order value is £80. The first consultation is £25 and lasts around an hour . Mileage is not charged if I visit you within a 10 mile radius of Northwich. Extra mileage will be charged for accordingly to cover fuel costs. Any further consultations will be billed for at £15 per hour plus mileage. This will be added to the final invoice. Telephone/email consultations are free. Cake samples are available at £2.50 per cake flavour. Samples of floral work or sugarpaste swatches are charged for starting at £5 per flower/swatch. Delivery of samples will incur postage costs or mileage costs should I deliver them locally. Detailed pencil sketches of cake designs are £15. Dummy sections decorated to look like cake tiers are charged at a percentage of the cost of a baked tier. Dummy sections which are integral or hidden for support/height/stability/sculpting purposes are included in the final price. All quotations are correct as given to the client when a cake design is agreed. Should the client choose to amend the order afterwards, e.g by adding more elaborate detail/sugar art to the agreed quoted for design, then the cost of the cake may increase. The client will always be advised of this. I reserve the right to amend an order - structurally or aesthetically - at any time should I have concerns for display stability or anything which would adversely affect the visual appearance of the finished piece. If I feel dummy sections/components are required to create the effect of great height with better stability, the client will be informed in advance. Please take care when cutting your cake!! I frequently use supports such as dowels or skewers/cocktail sticks in cakes and various non-edible decorative items which need to be removed before consumption. I ALWAYS make the venue aware of this on delivery and the client will be advised also. I therefore accept no liability for this advice not being followed. Produce may contain trace of nuts or seeds. The client will always be advised of this when placing an order No liability whatsoever is accepted by OrderTheCake.co.uk or Sarah Adams for damage to cakes after delivery and set up at the venue or in transit. If the cake is moved or handled by venue staff following the set-up procedure and is subsequently damaged as a result then the venue is liable for the damage. Should this occur, I am willing to return to the venue (subject to availability) to repair the damage and the venue will be invoiced for my costs. Please make your chosen venue aware of this liability issue as unfortunately, accidents can and do happen!! All my glass cake plate stock is approved safety "K" glass. A charge is made for the use of my custom-made glass cake plates, stands and separators. This varies according to each item hired. Damage deposits may be asked for on certain items which will be refunded on safe undamaged return. Any item which is damaged or broken will incur a full replacement/repair charge. Where a damage deposit has been paid, this will be non-refundable and any outstanding balance to cover replacement/repair of the item will be invoiced to the client. Where no damage deposit has been paid, the replacement/repair cost in full will be invoiced to the client. When a cake is booked, the date has been "sold". Cancellation/refund terms are as follows: Cancellation within 60-120 days (inclusive) of the event will be charged at 80% of the full order value minus set-up/delivery charges. Cancellation within 0-60 days (inclusive) of the event will be charged in full, minus set-up/delivery charges. Any deposits/delivery charges paid at the time of ordering/invoice due date are NON-REFUNDABLE. Wedding insurance is recommended for all wedding services you choose. No refund will be made for any accessory hire fee that forms part of the full order value.
